    1. Make sure you get the financial associate sorted out. That might be seriously affecting your rating.
Done... all cleared up and removed. No explanation was given as to why it was there in the first place - but its gone now.
    2. Stop applying for credit. If you've had three recent applications, I'd say don't apply for any for the next 6 months. Lots of applications would make you look desperate.
None of the 3 credit card applications apear to be on Equifax or Callcredit. I'm still waiting the 3rd report.
Should I expect to see the 3 failed application searches?

And does the fact that they are not there indicate that my applications are failing for something other than the credit searches?
    3. Keep the existing cards. Spend on them each month and pay the balance off in full each month.
Started doing that on my two existing CCards to build a history of use.

As my wife has now got a Tesco CCard, albeit with a small credit limit, should she close her hardly used Natwest CCard?

Our overall aim is to build our stoozing pot. :j

I'd say she may as well spend on both cards and pay them both off in full each month. Can only help.

    Hi
I want to know how can I tranfert money from credit card to another account
Please supply a few more details. Are you transfering a positive balance, a debt or trying to access cheap credit?
Are you wanting the money to go to another credit card or a current account?
    Which card(s) have you got?

Has Egg suspended allowing an Egg Money card to have a positive balance from receving a BT from an other card? Phoned Egg and they said that that service is no longer avaliable? Has anyone done this recently via Egg?

Haven't tried it recently, so I don't know.
But what they have done is stopped positive balances attracting interest. This might be what they are refering to.
I suggest (unless you get a better answer on here) that you send Egg a message and ask what would happen if you did a balance transfer that resulted in a positive balance on your Egg card. Ask them to confirm that you would be able to transfer the positive balance into your current account with no transfer fee.

Yeh - the person on the phone seemed clueless and I sent them a message last night. Just need to fund a car and got money tied up in other arbitrage opportunities. Thanks

    Dear x

I'm afraid it's no longer possible to go into credit on your Egg Money Card.

I'm sorry I couldn't help you further with this matter.

If you have any further queries please contact us again.

    Thanks for your message.

Could you advise if you still permit positive balances on my Egg Money card? I used to be able to do this but would like to find out before I do anything else....

    Kindly advise.

I'd still ask what would happen if you ended up with a positive balance on your card...

They've suspended the option to overpay via their own payment option - you can only pay the current balance .... although you can hit the button repeatedly and put your card in credit by mutiples of your balance if you really want ;)

You can also make BACS or Fast payment directly to your account - see their website for details of sort code and account number if you want to do this, this hasn't been stopped.

And you can still do balance transfers to put an Egg Money card into credit - out of interest, why did you even ask Egg about this? It's nothing to do with them, they just receive a payment at the end of the day ;)

I've done all of these repeatedly for the last 4 weeks to maximise my cashback on a BTL renovation I've been working on. I've put the account in credit and transferred funds to my current account, and put the account in credit and spent it - not a single message, query or blocked transaction :)

I only ask as I want to take advantage of a 0%BT deal with no BT fee for almsot 12k and if Egg refuse it I might be charged on the other side. Thanks all the same though. Egg (Citi) sometimes dont ahve a clue and therye STILL not Faster Payments compliant!
