Liverpool City Council or Liverpool County Court? I suspect the latter.

LPE were a shower of a PPC based in Liverpool (or was it Wallasey) that flowered briefly, threw their weight around like a loud-mouthed, eight-stone weakling in a gorilla outfit and then, thankfully, disappeared back under a stone. Dissolved in April 2014.

Provided you can convince the court that the reasons you were unaware of LPE's issuing proceedings were genuine (i.e. not your own fault) then the CCJ should be overturned and stay that way. LPE are dead and gone.

Sorry the way I wrote that post made it look like I had got a CCJ off Liverpool City Council I have edited my post now. What I meant was I have a ccj off Legal Parking Enforces. But I had, had parking tickets before which I have paid right away but I had to pay Liverpool City Council, which is a legitimate government agency.

The company were dissolved almost a year ago. See Companies House. (Status: Dissolved 12/08/2014 )

You could apply to the courts for a set-aside in the knowledge that it will not be disputed- but it will cost you £155 that you can't get back.

Do you have a company number?

No I do not have their Company Number but I know they have been dissolved.

What do you mean, how can I do this.

Basically, did you receive the court claim papers and ignore them, or were they sent to a previous or incorrect address?

You need to be honest here, if a court finds out you're fibbing then it's even more serious.

If you can show that DVLA are at fault, i.e. they were tardy in updating your details/gave the PPC the wrong address, then you may be able to claim off them.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

As you haven't mentioned it this issue doesn't look to have caused you any problems so far.

If that's true, then the moneysaving thing to do would be to hang on a couple of years and the CCJ will be removed from your record (ie 6 years after the date of the judgement)

Thereby saving you the set aside fee (which you won't be able to recover from the "deceased" claimant even if you win a set aside)

Applying for set aside due to "personal circumstances" will fail and you will lose your £165 IMO.
If they served court papers on you and you ignored it you are stuck with it.

What is the date of the CCJ? Sometimes the "deceased" come back to life - when there is a bit of cash involved.

Strangely there was a case against someone called Horner in June of this year by LPE some 10 months after they "deceased" so check your dates.
