Should still be under warranty?
*Take it to the dealer, tell them want happened.....
It is their problem. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
Please note that at no point during this work was the kettle ever put out of commission and no chavs were harmed during the making of this post.0 -
I'll never leave any of my cars with, how shall we say, non car people again.
Came back to my Hilux to find it in 4WD, it had been brought outside after the work, did they turn it round on the dry concrete with the centre diff locked i don't know, nothing was broken but there could easily have been serious damage that wouldn't have been a warranty claim.
Suggest with the typical roadside valetters that its best to keep an eye on what they are doing, especially if they have access to the interior and the keys.0 -
What did the car wash place say happened?0

They denied all knowledge of even knowing that the car wasn't starting...even though I'd seen them push it before I went out to them!0

That sounds like they know what they did but are trying to cover it up to me, which could scupper any warranty claim.0

Does the engine bay look damp? Did they spray water around in there?
Why don't people just clean their own cars; I don't understand it? I would never leave my car/keys with a bunch of car cleaners with probably half a GCSE between them.0 -

I don't clean my own cars anymore. I used to enjoy doing it, but life's too short, I have way better things to do with my evenings and weekends to stand around with buckets and sponges.
Every few weeks our valeter comes to work (he's a fireman as his main job) and if the car looks dirty enough I'll pay him £15 to clean the car for me. He does a great job and it means I don't have to get dirty.
Otherwise, my cars get washed when it rains.0
