I think usual advice (after IAS refusing an appeal) is to ignore everything, (especially from debt collectors who can't take you to court) unless you get an actual court claim, then come back here for further advice.

Write stating that the debt is denied and in line with practice directions you need to know the basis of the charge trespass contractual or breach

  • can you show us the 2 appeal denials from the kangaroo club , and also take us which one the intended court action is for?
  • the business park at Liverpool is not the same site as the airport ,

had it have been the airport I would have suggested going to pepipoo , where there is a fighting fund , to get a case into court (eventually) and get this sorted once and for all,

OP , which ticket are they threatening court action for , and can you publish the kangaroo club rebuttal for that one ,

Give it a rest - it's an even split.

Not according to the poll, which sits at 92.86% for appealing to the IAS: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5311944

It's not as high as that now but I will of course add the poll to the Newbies thread.

My reasons for still saying ''do not appeal to the IAS'' are mainly that the man in the street is NOT immensely self-confident and with a lost IAS appeal thrown at them, then pushy letters from the PPC, many would fold. And I suspect an average IPC muppet firm would be more confident of maybe trying court with an IAS 'pseudo-win' to back them up than picking out a fairly anonymous/unknown quantity 'ignorer' consumer to suddenly sue.

So a typical newbie with a busy life but who might waver as a result of a 'loss' may prefer not to hand an advantage to the IPC firm.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I got a PCN today regarding being stopped at Liverpool Business Park (not the airport)... 'No Stopping/Waiting in restricted area or roadways' / 'Stopping on a roadway where stopping is prohibited' - I took a wrong turn and pulled into a small section of layby road that is adjoining the main road for no more than 2-3 minutes purely to put an address in my phone GPS, and unfortunately for me it was at the time a van drives past! As I was waiting to pull off another car was coming stopping me from pulling out (you can even see the car on the photo).

The PCN is issued by Vehicle Control Services. I have seen the letter template on another post, do I simply fill that in and email it to them to appeal? I've read a few posts to try and understand but I'm a little confused. Only had one PCN before and it was a case of taking it to the shop to get cancelled but as this isn't for a car park I'm needing a little more assistance. It was issued on 5th and got it in post today, 14th.

    Thanks,
    Jo

As long as the template you mention is the challenge for IPC firms, as shown in the NEWBIES FAQs sticky thread near the top of this forum (and NOT the dreadful reply MSE suggest, in their article about parking tickets) then yes you email it making sure you comply with the PCN re 'appeals' which insists you include your POSTAL address, even though it's an email.

You say you need more assitance but there is nothing to be done beyond that first step, as the NEWBIES thread tells you. This is all academic.

VCS WILL reject the challenge. You then ignore them and the debt collector letters as covered in posts #3 and #4 of the same sticky thread near the top of the forum.

This thread is very old; no more replies here. It's not really relevant. Read page one of the forum instead.
