Glad you had a great day TA just being together and reviving old memories is lovely. Onwards and upwards honey My thoughts are with you both xx

We this morning is a great day after 8 years of treatment and five operations bouts of chemo and radio therapy and five years of drug therapy I have now been officially signed off from the hospital:):):) no more appointments or trekking to the hospital for tests I am officially cured of cancer (fingers crossed ) I am feeling on top of the world at the moment The grim reaper can bu**er off, he is not getting me to go for a ride :):):) My DGS are so chuffed they kept coming up to me and giving me a cuddle yesterday bless them. OK so one of my arms will never work as it used to (lymphodema) and is slightly larger than my left one ,but I can live with that.

Every day is a bonus to me and I intend to make the most of each extra day I have been given.Having been ill with something as horrible as that changes ones attitude to so many things .Things that used to worry me or get me upset just float by. I never stress about anything now, no point ,life is far too short to worry about inconsequential thing Family and friends are the most important things in life .Just looking out from my window this morning and seeing the River Medway glinting through the tree is to me a bonus.
anyway enough waffling, just thought I'd share my little bubble of cheer with you all

    Congratulations Jackie, I can't believe it's 8 years.

    Happy anniversary for yesterday TA.

A quiet day of sewing for me I think.

    Have a good day.
  • Jackie, many congratulations, it is a long haul isn't it.

I know myself, at the beginning, you think will I get through the treatment, and here we are living proof.

Now tell me, have you started buying your pretty underwear now? :):):)

  • Up date, forget what I said about the washer, at excatly the same point the machine stopped and I cannot get it to drain the water out or do anything, because there is water in the door will not unclock so I cannot get the laundry out, I am fuming.

I have to find someone eho can help me get the thing to the back door and take the bottom off the machine and release the water via the door at the bottom.

I have sorted out a new one, but cannot order it until I have got the clothes out of the old one. GGrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thankfully OH's palps have gone off. He is having a quiet day today. I keep telling him about working full days in the garden, but he takes no notice so he can jus get on with it. I am feeling very bolshy today, wonder why?

JackieO so pleased to hear of your discharge from hospital. Its certainly something to celebrate.

No news about Youngests job working away yet. They are meant to be sorting out the details today. I must say, ive only spent the odd night on my own but i'll have to get used to it if it comes off. The job goes on until August of next year.

You may or may not be pleased to know my face has stopped peeling. The redness has gone down a lot too. However, it hasnt really made any difference to the place i wanted it to. I'll do it again next week or so and see what happens.

Spent part of last night sorting out who is having what at Christmas. All in gift vouchers as i'm paying and thats the only 'currency' i deal in. :D

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Good afternoon everyone, looking after DGS again it's his nursery morning so he had to be there for 9am. I'd put some washing in so came back and pegged it out, cleaned DD bedroom, landing and DGS's bedroom he has a nap after nursery. Then sun finally came out at lunchtime so hopefully the washing will be dry for DD she works 12 days for 4 days a week she's a GP. We had lunch and he went done for his nap he was 3 last Sunday. So I've managed to get a little time on the iPad . Jackie news on the big C all clear hubby had his prostate out earlier this year. Best go do a little more

    Afternoon everyone

sneaking in as I have not been posting.

JackieO - great news on your discharge by the hospital, love the way you celebrate each day.
Mrs TA - happy anniversary for yesterday.
Redruby - Sounds like Noodles is very settled with you.

I went to parents evening for ds2, he didn't want to go but my goodness I am so proud of him right now. Several teachers expect him to get a grade C GCSE or equivalent. He has severe dyslexia and his school have really worked hard with him. I thought he had given up as he has been so stressed and just didn't seem bothered about any exams. Considering he missed 4 months of school in primary and was kept back a year then moved straight back to year 6 basically missing out year 5, as he repeated year 2. He didn't sit Sats exams as they thought he wouldn't cope. He has really done well and I told him I am so pleased.

os today hoovered downstairs, washed few breakfast pots, washing done and out on line, will bring in later. Quick tea for me tonight as I'm out at college.

Also managed to get an interview for a part time job next Monday - 2 days a week would be ideal if I get it.

hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.
  • topsyturphy, well done to your Son. Isn't it wonderful when children with a disability prove everyone wrong, against all odds.

My DGS has dyspraxia, not dis-similar to dyslexia, was sent to many specialists, who told my daughter what he wouldn't be able to do, not what he would. He started university this week, like you we are so proud of him.

    Very good luck to him

    Jackie and topsy

I am so pleased for you :j:j:j

Misty every morning so did not bother putting the washing machine on. Will need to do it tomorrow as did several loads of washing for dds at the weekend and on Monday and have loads of towels to do.

Sulking as I went to slimming club last night and have stayed the same weight this week.

Decided I really need to concentrate on what I am doing and planning either lamb and spinach curry tonight or a chicken and mushroom one as both meats are defrosting.

Older dd is having a nice time in Greece at friend's wedding, middle dd is very busy at work and grateful for the home made frozen meals I gave her a few days ago. Youngest is still despondent at job hunting but told her to give it time.

Going out to post some more books and mail to youngest so see you later.

    Hugs to all
