I've have a Seagate 320GB ext'l hdd for a few months now and it's been totally flawless with usb 2. My daughter is looking at similar but has usb 1.1, hence the question.

if it is a desktop, then you can get a usb2 card for a few quid, try ebuyer.

Either of those will be fine.

If you can afford a fiver more, can get a 500Gb for 64.99 at the moment:

the 1st one is £40.30 and a good make
the 2nd is £99.99 and is still a good make or are you looking at the small window priced at £59.99 as one is 400gb's at £40.30 I would go for that one and ebuyer are a good firm to deal with...hth's cw:D
