Not sure how to start this but when I buy or sell anything on ebay an ex friend gets my notifications somehow and then starts to message me abuse about what I am buying/selling. I have changed my password a few times to no avail and she doesn't have access to my email account. I have no idea how she gets them or how to stop it. It is getting g me down now and would really appreciate some advice on how I can stop them.

Is she getting email notifications? If so, double check your email settings to see if you're automatically forwarding ebay emails to her as you can set up (at least for some email services) things like that.
Also double check your ebay and Paypal accounts to make sure their email isn't listed anywhere.
If it still doesn't help you could try contacting ebay, but the better option may just be to get a new email account.0 -
Your account must have their email on it, or one they can access.
If you can't find out where the accounts are linked just open up a new one with anew email and password so your friend can't log in if they tried.0 -
There's a possibility the ex-friend is just stalking you.
You can 'follow' sellers and get an email whenever they list anything for sale, an it doesn't take many clicks from your profile page to view your feedback to see what you've been buying...0 -

I bought something yesterday and she knew straightaway as she texted abusing me as to who it was for. I also listed something for sale and same thing happened. I will try changing my email address to see if it works. Thanks for advice0 -
Too be honest with you, if someone is texting you to abuse you, maybe a quick call to your local Police station might solve the problem?
Overkill perhaps, but if you actually mean abuse, then your 'friend' seems to have some major issues that need to be dealt with.0 -

cant really be bothered involving police, just want to get notifications stopped. i have been on my settings and cant see anything at all that is linking anything to another email or phone number other than mine. think i may just re register under another username and email0 -
Yes, sounds like time to open another email and ebay account. Put this one on mothballs for a while until she gets bored or moves on with her life.0

She's probably using something like this : http://www.watchcount.com/bh.php0

Assuming that you are still receiving the notifications as well as your ex-friend then it's likely that the problem lies in your e-mail system not with Ebay. As FlyOnTheWall said, some email systems have an option to forward emails to another email address. For example I have set up my work webmail system to forward all the messages I receive to my personal email address. Also, using Outlook you can create a rule that, for example, forwards all emails from Ebay to another email address. When your ex-friend was your friend she could easily have set up such a system if she just had access to your computer for a couple of minutes. It also means that potentially she may be receiving copies of all your emails not just your Ebay ones! So check out your email system for an option called something like 'auto-forwarding' or 'rules'.0

Did this friend of yours know the password to your email account? She could've very easily added your email account on her phone and receive ALL of your emails. Sounds a bit stalkish if you ask me, but that's upto you how you deal with that. Change password on your email account and see if that makes a difference but also tell her to get a life
