Can I still claim when I have no flight details

My Dad went to Finland in December 2011 and was delayed traveling home for around 5hours. However, not knowing that he could claim a few years later he has not kept any details. We know the airport where he was delayed from was Enontekio and that it was Thompson airlines. He was supposed to be home on 30th December yet due to the flight delay it was about 2.30am - 3am on 31st December. Without any other details, can he put a claim in? Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you
