HP Printer - Faulty after 1 year & 4 months - What are my rights?

No, ultimately if the retailer disputes the claim it will end up in a courtroom. It is not decided on the papers.
You need evidence (i.e. an independent report) to even contemplate bringing proceedings.0 -
Hamzab, have you used third party ink/toner in this printer?
Is this an inkjet printer?
If so, have is been a long while since last used, such that the ink has dried in the printer?
Either of the above are likely to be considered 'user error'.

Yes it is an inkjet. I have only used genuine HP ink.
I use it quite regularly, at least once or twice a week to print a page or 2, as such the print count is quite low. I think roughly 200 pages.0
