Eletricity companies

I have been with npower for some years and after reading gave them a proper reading. Turns out I was owed just over £5k!!! which has since been refunded into my account.

It is worth searching around though as Powergen got in touch and basically offered to halve the bills!!!
Sadly I am in a 12 month contract which needs 3 months notice... I contacted npower and they said yes, all the firms offer loss leads then hope you don't change. However they are all fixed prices for 12 months so technically you could use companies loss leaders just put it in your Google calendar!

Remember 3 months notice to cancel the 12 months. I have to wait for next year but won't be caught out again.
Oh and it is apparently illegal to leave you without electricity so you don't have to worry about any problems with being cut off!

  • Robert,

Have I missed something? your post does not appear to lead into the story of np owing you 5k?

    Can you expand a little?

Did you ever get your business cards sorted chap as I never heard from you again after sending you the samples?

    Regards

    Pete
  • oh hello! lol I didn't get round to it been busy (partly with npower) doing my shop accounts- it's been abit mad. The 5k didn't have much to do with the story they had simply over estimated for quite a while and didn't know how to take a reading! I meant ppl should make sure and check their meters.

I'm still interested in getting some I should still have you e-mail. It's just not sure about as vouchers in case ppl copy them..?

  • Robert,

As the vouchers you require are being printed onto pvc the equipment required is quite expensive and as such deters most of the fraud!

If you wish to pay a little extra you can have a hologram printed onto the card as extra security?

Will be happy to discuss via email if you wish to pursue it further

    Regards

    Pete

  • If you wouldn't mind that would be great - sending the quote I mean.

I have all the cards infront of me still.
