Hello Wednesday Savers,
Busy morning. Quite a few money-saving bits, so here goes:
*Composted a load of ancient straggly wallflowers, but not before I'd taken off enough material for two dozen cuttings. Hopefully they'll root to make some new free plants for Spring.
*Watered chillies & peppers. Fed the remaining courgette plants & sulky butternut squash.
*Picked remaining greenhouse tomatoes & binned plants. Just the tiniest signs of blight. Time to grab all the fruits & go!
*Also picked courgettes, more chillies, the very last of our grapes & gathered a few more windfall pears.
*Postman brought us each a new John Lewis loyalty coffee & cake voucher. Don't mind if we do!
*Packed hat (which I finished knitting & sewing up last night) away into presents box.
*PAD'd £2-93 into Car Fund (skimmed current account down to the nearest round number).
*Did a couple of Onepoll surveys. I don't seem to be getting many at the moment. Shame, as I'm at around £36, so not far to go.
*mr f has been sent 100 free ebay listings. We'll try to use a few of those.
*Recycled a huge wodge of only-used-on-one-side A4 paper for use as printer paper.
*Made some rye bread dough. All shaped into rolls & proving.
*Aiming for some leisure time this afternoon as I have to go out to a meeting tonight. All free: a small family history task to do, continue with the fair isle panel of the jumper I'm knitting as a Christmas present, watch a recorded TV prog & get my blog updated.
Hope all poorly people soon on the mend.

Morning all, Thanks Bob for the start & I hope that your son is feeling fighting fit again soon.
Ccl, Hope the funeral goes as well as it can. You don't sound heartless either.
For me its just a case of ticking over with the usuals as I'm back to standing at the bottom of a ladder again later today while we are still sorting out the houses gutterings etc
So far I have
Loaded d/washer and put it on quick cycle
Walked boys to the bus stop
Checked banking/updated spreadsheets
Hung washing on the line
Checked luckyphone
Off to the gym shortly and will fill water bottle whilst there.
Hopefully be back later with more.
Well my ladder duties are over for the year I hope! Tomorrow my dad is going out for the day so I will get to have a day at home getting on top of my stuff at home again.
I also checked FPL
Kids had pasta bake for tea which after tidying out the fridge before my mr T delivery included some peas/sweetcorn (leftover from our meal last night) a couple of slices of pepperoni and 3 spinach leaves that DH had left in the fridge for some strange reason!
Entertainment - watch Dave Gorman on catchup
I think that's about it for today, but tomorrow's list is going to be a veryyyy long one!
Night all

Hello
Chocolate lover - it's a great blog. Nice to get to know you more.
Ally - hope you enjoy your weekend.
CCL - hope the funeral went as ok as possible.
Little Pink Purse - not sure what's going to happen yet on that score.
LegoMum- Glad your off the hook for the ladder duties
Ziggy- thank you.
Foxgloves - another busy day in the garden. I love hearing all about it.
Twiggy- well done in getting your cds etc sent off.
JoJo- it was interesting to read about where you work yesterday. I think I used to work somewhere similar back in my home town. Have good memories of it.
Carrie - I always wonder about London weddings. Have been to some crackers, including one in a Wren church. But the cost must be hideous!
Got home late as they were running behind at the midwives by almost an hour. Don't blame them, how can you with the state of the NHS. Apparently they are prepared to let me go 10 days over if necessary before any further intervention. So that's good news. But who knows from here till then. I'm back there in a week for a check up.
Cafe was busy today but in a good way so I have enough cake made for tommorow.
Got home to a bit of a mess but to be expected when the boys had Been cooped up inside all day. Son's a lot better. He's going to school tommorow.
Paid some bills. Updated my spreadsheet and spending app after online banking.
Cleaned the fridge and froze a couple of portions of leftovers.
Made chilli for tea with jacket potatoes and salad.
Oh and son also lost another milk tooth today so OH had to run out to get some change for the tooth fairy tonight!
Busy busy....
Right off for the night.

Hi everyone
I have finally made it home. Got in a 9.30pm after a VERY long day. Funeral went ok, as did open evening, but I suspect I will feel it more tomorrow.
The good news is that even though dh still looks hideously ill, and hasn't left the house he did actually manage to put the bins out and wash the dishes to me, so the only thing I had to do when I got home was make dd lunch for tomorrow and have a shower.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »
