This thread is about the small money saving efforts we all can make each day. When we start our debt free journey we focus on the big things. Cancelling the sky subscription. Cutting up the credit cards. But along the way it is the little things we can do every day that keep us on track and making progress. Whether you are leaving the cards at home and shopping cash only. Making lists to go to the supermarket. Keeping food waste to zero. Post your lists here and help others get good ideas of small things to do daily.

Good morning Everyone
Today is OH'S payday so once I get back from work I will be moving onto the new October budget spreadsheet & making any manual payments I need to. Most of our bills go out via DD as I'm sure is the case for most people?
Son made it through the night without incident and has now transfered back to the sofa clutching his red bucket. Bless him he's terrified of being sick all over the place.
I went down to sort him out then made our breakfast, hung out the load of washing in the machine and started a new one off. Then tidied last night's dry pots and pans away so the sink top is clear. Now feel that's the kitchen clean and clear for when I return from work.
I have my last midwife appointment tonight after work so will go straight there then home.
Yorkshire -hope the hospital goes ok today for your son.
Have a good day everyone!

Morning all, Thanks Bob for the start & I hope that your son is feeling fighting fit again soon.
Ccl, Hope the funeral goes as well as it can. You don't sound heartless either.
For me its just a case of ticking over with the usuals as I'm back to standing at the bottom of a ladder again later today while we are still sorting out the houses gutterings etc
So far I have
Loaded d/washer and put it on quick cycle
Walked boys to the bus stop
Checked banking/updated spreadsheets
Hung washing on the line
Checked luckyphone
Off to the gym shortly and will fill water bottle whilst there.
Hopefully be back later with more.0 -
Morning all!
Hugs to everyone who needs them.
So yesterday was a good day! Actually posted off my CDs and DVDs and listed some bits on eBay! Been on my list for so long, so just hoping bits sell now!
Today I have/will:-
* Check banks
* Submit meter readings as forgot yesterday
* Do washing up
* Take lunch to work
* Read Martins email
* Check all money has been shuffled off to relevant pots
* Earn more on OnePoll
* Update work expenses
* Call venue for baby shower to check everything organised for Sunday
* Meeting friend for dinner but she has a gourmet card so pick somewhere that its 2 for 1
That's everything I can think of for now. Hope you all have a good day.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Morning all,
Thanks to Bob for starting us off
ccl - massive hugs and thoughts coming your way.
Did a bit of pottering and cleaning last night and made some plans to do more in the week. Today is payday! Hooray! Going to be an expensive month though. MOT and service due on the car, plus a wedding in London to go to!
Today's list:- B/L from stores - oooops I ate my lunch already...
- D - might need to pick up something to go with other bits that I already have
- Run at lunchtime with colleague - done. am a saint.
- Charge phone in work - done
- Going on an upholstery hoovering mission tonight when I get home
- No booze (have been a saint since sunday)
- Possibly a little overtime but trying to avoid it today if I can - 1 hour or so... had to finish some stuff for my folks in the field
- Watered the delphinium seedlings and chillies in the greenhouse. This late sun that we're having is making all the plants think it's spring. My roses have started blooming again!
- Read Martin's email - done
- Emailed letting agent about having a smart meter fitted - done
Have a good one all
