Read that very carefully.I have in writing that the car comes with a full 1 year in house warranty which covers any electrical or mechanical failure.
It is possible that it'll cover the slave cylinder, but I suspect you'll have to prove that the fluid was replaced per schedule throughout the car's life. Which will be difficult, at best.
If they do cover it, and your mechanic is happy to put in writing that the flywheel's failed due to contamination from the slave rather than being a very predictable DMF failure at this age, then they MIGHT cover that. But expect a very, VERY heavy argument about it.
There's no way they'll cover the clutch, though, and it'd be daft to put that back in - especially if it's contaminated.
In short...? At 100k and 8yrs, clutch/slave/DMF are far from unexpected jobs.0 -
