We paid off our mbna card in 2009. I put in a claim for miss-selling at the end of 2014 and was sent £48 - confused. I was going to appeal to the ombudsman but life got in the way.

About six months later a letter came from mbna. I recognised their type face before even opening the envelope and thought "if you think you're getting your £48 back, you can *** off. The ombudsman had told them to review our case. We got just over £11000. Yes, that many noughts.

    Keep trying.

I think you were ok , beacuse there was only a 5 year gap between pqying off in 2009 and claiming in 2014. Mine was paid much earlier, Mbna rejected it, so wiyh omburdsman to deal with.
