EE and cancellation problems
Options
Hi all.
My EE contract expires on 02/10/15. I've tried to cancel it today without success it seems no one at EE will speak to me.
The website chat help say the will not deal with cancellations but they did give me a number to call. I called it and went right through the menus, it took a while. When I got to the cancellation option a recorded message said 'we're sorry you're havng problems, goodbye' and then hung up on me.
There's no email address on there website so I retried the chat box on the website and they again explained they wouldnt cancel my contract online and then cut me off.
I've now cancelled the direct debit in frustration.
Has anyone got a better way to contact EE, Have I done the right thing in cancelling the DD?
I'm extremely annoyed by their service to put it mildly.

No - definitely the wrong thing unless you want debt collectors and a trashed credit file for the next 6 years.
You MUST give 30 days' notice or it will continue. I never use webchat; I simply call the normal number for them from my phone and do it that way.0 -
But what am I supposed to do if they wont answer my call? I was hoping they would write to me so I could have some contact information.0

I am re calling them, Im 11 minutes in now, still no dice. also the recorded messages they put out seems glitchy.0

Amazing, they answered straight away when I opted for the pay a bill option. It was all automated nicely.0

It took 25 minutes but I managed to pay my remaining bill by card.
