Help with voda contract
My vodafone contract expires in 3 weeks, last year i had a handset and 12months half price line rental 12.50 for 200mins. Anyway Ive rung them and they told me If i want a handset i cant have any half price months its only 1 or the other.
Does that sound right? because for new customers they are offering 6 months half price and a nokia 6300. with 225 mins and 500txts ?
Any ideas of what I should do or say, appreciated
Thanks
karen

The CS rep said the same to me, offered me a free phone OR discount off the package.
What i did was tell them exactly what you want and stick to it. If they refuse say okay ill ring back and cancel my contract later.
Leave it a few minutes call back and go through to the ''thinking about leaving vodafone'' option.
Explain that you are thinking about leaving, explain why and tell them all you wanted was..........................
They 9 out of 10 times give you what you want. If they don't them maybe your asking for too much. I basically got the free phone i wanted, and dropped the contract from 18 month one (they will put you on this every time unless you argue) to 12 month with a small discount too...0 -
Ok, thanks
which phone did you get?0 -
it was the mrs contract but i do the renewing , she got the Samsung U700.....0

Hi
The deals that are available are constantly changing and are mostly flexible in terms of offering subsidies towards handset costs or discounts on line rental.
The cost of upgrading a phone is based on how long your agreement is going to be, the cost of the phone you're looking to upgrade to and how much discount you're looking for on your line rental.
The more discounts given on the line rental will often equal less discounts on the handset cost and vise versa.
Its worthwhile speaking to the upgrades team again and ask them to talk you through some different options.0 -
Today they offered me a nokia 6300 225mins/100 txts for 25.00 on 12 month contract, or nokia 6300 200mins on 18 month contract 6 month half price 30.00.
Still not very happy, wanted 9months half price on a 12month contract and a 6300, do you think thats realistic?0 -
think your asking too much personally..... i would say them giving you the phone and letting you 12 months contract is all your going to get....... you never know though but ..........0
