Phone line plus broadband

Hello,
I live in Skye and need a phone line plus broadband for my house. Any suggestions who I could use for a cheap deal?
The post office was offering a good deal about 12 months ago, but they admitted that because of my location I would need to have BT to put the line in then get the broadband from the PO after this.
Does this mean I need to go to BT for the line and broadband.
Cheers,
Jules

Check your local exchange as to who supplies your area.

Are you saying you have no physical phone line ??0 -

The should mean BT Openreach would put the line (which the Post Office should sort).0 -
As above, regardless of the provider you use, it's BT OR who do the physical line install and connection. So what the PO told you was absolute nonsense. If you get BT to do the line install then you will be in a one year minimum term contract with them.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

yes, I'm waiting for them to install - its been derelict for 50 yrs0
