New broadband at new address

I am moving homes next week. I am currently on the Virgin Media fiber optic at 50MB plan for just GBP 26.50 per month. No line rentals and other bs. I am very happy with the service and the speed, can stream online videos, etc. I wanted to take Virgin with me to my new address, but it seems the high speed internet is not supported at my new address and the only options are the standard 17MB packages with line rentals from BT, Sky, TalkTalk and PlusNet. Will 10MB speed allow me to stream videos? Are there any other options? I am very sceptical of BT - anyone recommends TalkTalk?

Is fibre not available at the new property yet rather than ADSL (which will be what 10 meg will be) with Sky or BT ? (I don't hear good things about Talk Talk personally)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Yes, I believe fiber is just not available at the new property. 17MB package is the only one I can really get. I know many people are not happy with BT, but just want to see if I have any options.0

Last year I moved from a Virgin area to an area with neither cable nor fibre. It's not too bad (it's mainly when trying to upload things that I really notice the slow speed) and I can still stream movies well enough in SD and 720p HD. I'm now with Sky, having previously been with EE.
As for alternatives, 4G mobile internet might be an option (I used this for a few weeks before we had our broadband installed) but it quickly gets expensive, especially if you're into streaming video.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Essentially all the above are coming down the same BT cable .
Personally i would go with BT PN or Sky depending upon the package i wanted .0 -
Thanks. So, I will still need to pay for the line rental? I do not really use a phone at home , do not really need it.0

Yes you have to pay for the line rental too as the broadband service has difficulty running over thin air.My postings reflect my lifetime's experience and my opinion. You are quite welcome to respond with your experiences and option, whether similar or different.0
