'Clean Airways' Miele Heatpump Dryer

I am getting this repeated error message on my Miele T 8966 WP heat pump drier. When the message shows the dryer stops working. I routinely clean the filters and have taken the cover off the air inlet and vacuumed it to no avail.

On looking at other forums it would appear that this is not an uncommon problem but I have not found a solution anywhere. So I wondered if anyone on here has had a similar experience?

They dryer is out of warranty and I am reluctant to call a Miele engineer as the (exhorbitant!) prices they charge, on top of the almost £1000 I paid for the dryer will negate the money savings I will make on buying such an energy-effiecient model. I cannot find many local engineers who deal with Miele, and those I have found have no experience with heat pump models.

I have written to Miele outlining the above, but have not heard back yet. I assume that when I do they will just advise me to book one of their engineers.
