My buyer has asked a second time if she can return the garmet.
I believe the buyer never bothered to measure or mistook my cm measurements for inches. My listing was clear.

I have replied, stating that my listing was marked "no returns" and noting that she left negatively worded positive feedback, which contravenes eBay policy, and left a 1 star rating, which none of my buyers has ever done.

The consequence I think, is that I will no longer qualify for free listings offers. Is it possible to have the feedback and star rating removed?

According to your thread on the ebay boards and the link you provided to your listing, you sold this as BNWOT and then washed the item before sending it.

I still think you mis sold the item, but to answer your question- unless the buyer opens a case you do not have to refund. As buyer has already left you poor stars there is no other damage they can do now. You can only try ebay to see if the feedback is considered feedback abuse, I think it could go either way.

As for free listings, one lot of poor stars won't cause you to drop below standard, as long as you maintain standard or above on your expanded dashboard you will be considered for all the offers.

Thanks for the advice Soolin, but as mine was a brand new garment, which means I hadn't washed it, and it was sealed in its cellophane. I declined the refund request, as the buyer had failed to check the measurements I gave in my listing, against her own requirements, and had left me one star and poor feedback comments without getting in touch first.

I've since had to accept return for another item, which the buyer said arrived damaged. There seems to be a spate of return requests. Perhaps people are buying on impulse and then changing their minds, easily done when they don't have to pay return postage.

Today I have a buyer wanting to return a Chubb lock, claiming the keys don't fit well. This is an unopened blister pack that the buyer has opened and it is a relaible brand. Keys generally only turn well once the lock has been fitted in the door, as there is resistance when held in the hand. If I allow the return I can no longer sell it as "in unopened packaging". A bit frustrating really...

    BUMP!

...So what are your thoughts about accepting returns from buyers who have opened the sealed blister pack goods?

The answer is the same as with the other items, if a SNAD case has been opened then you will find it hard to get out of not refunding. If no case is opened you can always try refusing and risk a case being opened later.

You seem to be having real issues and for a private seller with low sales this is a worry, you need to be watching your defects like a hawk.

Back to the OP, after having a chat with eBay, I have managed to get my FVFs back, so apart from the wasted time not all is lost :)
