Parking eye.

Hi guys, I have reached the point as where i need some advice on a parking letter i have received from parking eye.
ill start off with how i got my parking ticket, (also not too sure what details to share and what not so im going to keep it brief till asked.)
I was picking up my partner from a conference being held at said car park. drove in waited 10 mins, she got in and i drove away. i didn't actually leave the car as i had dropped her off in the morning also. couple weeks later i received the parking fine, two photo of me going in and out the car park saying i owe them £60. i looked online to see what to do and it said to ignore it so I did.
Later i got a "letter before county court claim", looking back online ive released ignoring it was only good up to 2012. now i assume i am one letter away from a court claim. and being charged £100 + a minimum of £75 if it goes to court.
question is what should i do now? i still ignoring them and its a week past the date they wish to take futher action!
any help will be appreciated and like i said i can prove any details asked if its not going to be found out!

" i still ignoring them and its a week past the date they wish to take futher action!"
you picked the PPC who take more court action than probably the rest of the scamming parking companies put together .....
read the newbies thread ... especially he bit about ParkingLie court stuff ...

have you complained to the conference center / land owner / land lord ..... because its likely to be your best course of action to get this stopped before court .......
oh and as above
better details on timings / signs and things may help

Ignoring stopped being a valid option for this shower back in 2012.
Why didn't you seek current info?
Because a quick Google of private parking advice STILL brings up a lot of information prior to 2012 which states ignore (or it did when I first got clocked by a PPC!) Luckily I came across this site before I took the ignore advice that was readily apparent.
It's a shame really, it's still too easy for someone to fall into this trap unless they take extra time and care to research THOROUGHLY the current advice rather than take the first bit of (outdated) advice at face value.0 -
To add to the above, whenever the online version of newspaper features a report on private parking you will get several idiotic comments from readers to the effect that you can safely ignore these fake fines and nothing will happen. I bet the likes of Parking Eye just love that. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Whats happened has happened and Rachels machine will just spit out another claim.
From what i can gather the OP wants two things to happen:
1: Avoid Court
2: avoid paying this shower a pennyquestion is what should i do now? i still ignoring them and its a week past the date they wish to take further action!
You will need to explain everything to the conference centre, and you will also need to inform them that this is an unlawful penalty that their agents are imposing upon you, you also need to tell them that they are liable for the actions of thier agents, and as their agents are now threatening court action, the conference centre/manager may be held liable to pay your costs as a result of their unreasonable actions, and lack of due diligence in allowing a company with such a poor reputation as Parking eye to prey on its customers/vistors, you also need to point out to them that you are shocked and horrified at the antics of this company, and even more so that they think that the conference centre thinks that this is acceptable.
If they dont play ball, ask for the managers personal details ( home address etc ) as if this goes to court you wish to fuilly defend it and you wish to have the manager joined to any claim, where he/she may be held liable for your costsFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Except that they have been a member here since 2008 - so the belief in Google infallibility should be well wrung-out of them. Never mind that there is more than enough info in the Stickies!I can answer this one ...

They may have been a member 'here' since 2008, but don't forget this might be their fist visit to this particular sub-forum.0
