Single Yellow Line on Private Road

It's not quite as straightforward as that, considering that the signage is a legal nonsense. They are saying specifically the conditions where you CAN park. They are then saying that you can park where you are NOT permitted by paying them money ... at which point surely they are permitting such parking.Seeing as pic#2 clearly says 'Contractual Terms' and 'Parking Charge' I would definitely be asking for a VAT invoice.
Put another way, you cannot contract to do something which is forbidden.
Parking on a yellow line can in such circumstances can only be deemed as trespass, where only the landowner can seek redress.
Maybe the OP should ask if the charge is
a) payment for breach of contract
b) a contractural charge (in which case VAT comes up, quite apart from the paradox indicated above)
c) damages for trespass0 -
I would not ask anything of UKPC, don't take the bait. And edit post #1 (too much information).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
