Virgin Media Partners - Broadband Only

Hi all
Well earlier this year I asked fellow forum folk what discount they were able to get from Virgin Media for BB only. I am a long term customer and recently out of contract.
I subsequently received a private message from someone working for 'Virgin Media Partners'. They offered me a discount for the package I was on or for a new package. Now this immediately sounded dubious to me - but it subsequently appeared they are legit. I have recently tried contacting the person again to no avail.
Has anyone successfully received a decent discount from VM for BB only or BB / Phone and if so what are you paying?
Also if anyone from Virgin Media Partners is reading - please PM me.

VM used to have 'my rate' and a 'mates rates' type of deal, where a discount would be applied to the standard published prices, it could be that someone contacted you with a mates rate discount code...no idea if this type of thing still applies, TBH the obvious thing to do is contact them, say you are looking at other providers and see if they make you a retention offer to keep your custom0
