We have just had our third six monthly water bill and it's estimated!
We were made to have a meter installed, which we would have had anyway, so there is no excuse for getting the estimate wrong. On this bill they have charged us for the total usage we had in the first year! The first two bills reflected actual meter readings.
If they want to save money by not reading meters why don't they produce annual bills and stop upsetting customers with estimated bills that don't tell you anything!

Your bill charged you for the 'total usage you had in the first year' based on two actual meter readings.
It seems you have been given an estimated bill for the current year based on that consumption??
Or have I got that wrong?
Are you sure that the estimate is not for 12 months consumption, but you are only required to pay for half of that consumption?
If not, a quick phone call to the water company to tell them of their mistake should solve the issue.
I will ring them up and they will most probably send me a new bill if I read the meter myself but it just seems a total waste of time and money.
I thought meters were supposed to do away with all this unnecessary work!
