Loud bang when driving

Was pottering along in the Ford Focus at about 30 on a country lane when I heard a loud bang which seemed to come from underneath the car to the rear. Couldn't pull up immediately as there were two cars behind me and it's a narrow lane with no passing places. They do sometimes shoot in the area but the noise seemed to come…

check the spring,if not get someone to check the rear suspension bushes.if its perished its suprisingly loud.

get someone independent to fit as most garages will have you believe a bush replacement requires a whole suspension arm,when actually the bush itself (just a round piece of plastic) can be sourced for pennies

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.
