Unlock ancient Nokia 6230i - please help!

Hi, I'm trying to unlock an old Nokia 6230i for a pensioner friend.

His ex son in law gave him the phone years ago together with a BT SIM generously paid for by his company. The company changed from BT to another supplier recently and my friend want to unlock his mobile.

The IMEI is 352285010698836

It is locked to BT. I guess this is the network BT used before they bought EE? The phone is Vodafone branded when it boots up.

Thanks for your help. Johnnie

  • if phone is vodafone branded and he can use bt sim than most likely phone is already unlocked.
As far as i can remeber bt never used vodafone, it has always been EE
