Paid the CC bill but money was sitting ready for transfer so that wasn't too painful and also earned Te*co clubcard points on the spending.

I love doing that. DH isn't quite so keen when we're at the vets and I'm paying with 4 different cards to max out rewards, but I also don't see him complaining about the cash back either!

Thanks SSS for your kind words. Yes, it has been a difficult time and poor DS3 seems very fragile emotionally at the moment, but hopefully things are on the up now:)

Haha Hiddenshadow, love the fact you use 4 different cards :rotfl: My DH is always laughing at my MSE ventures, but you are right, he is also happy to reap the rewards !! I am disappointed Te*co Boost has been cancelled as I normally get some main Christmas presents for the DSs from points accumulated over the year.

NSD today as was teaching off our main site and took lunch and all refreshments with me. Just managed to avoid the chocolate that was calling my name from the vending machine at the end of the day. Friday tomorrow :j and my day off (although actually I just swap teaching work for house work !!).

Glorious sunny day, hoping to walk this pooch this afternoon through the woods. Up early (to do some marking :( ) and took the opportunity to put a beef curry in the slow cooker and prep all the veg for Sunday lunch. Curry will be frozen later and then used during the week. I am really getting into this batch cooking, its great to take something out of the freezer in the morning and be able to come home after work to a home made meal that just needs heating through. Really makes life easier. My mum and sister coming over today to share the roast pork (smelling yummy atm) so will be good to have a catch up. NSD yesterday, helped out at DS4s activity and was given a free coffee :T Don't anticipate any spend today so even better. Ironing is eyeing me up from the corner - I hope to conquer it before the end of the day. 27p TT as well this morning. CC all paid off - zero balance atm. All looking good so far, hoping we get under £40 by end of the year - should be doable :j

Haha just noticedin the my previous post, I said that we hoped to get under £40 by the end of the year. Meant to say, of course, that we hoped to get under £40K by the end of the year. That will still be a :j:j:j event, but £40 will require a whole new level of celebration :rotfl:

You'll have to pop that £40 into your target now though, so shall we say under £39, 940?

FD regular saver matured this week, so will be transferring to 123 acct as even despite the drop in interest rates this is still the best rate of our savings accounts at the moment. This will boost our emergency fund so that pot will be looking a lot healthier. Have some jobs ear marked on the house though, so may have a little tiny dip into that ;) NSDs have meant no TTs which is great in some ways and a little disappointing in others. The TTs do keep you going mid month when not much else is happening money wise. Need to set up a new regular saver this weekend, and make extra OP to mortgage. Just sorting out exact amount. Keep on swimming, keep on swimming .........

Expensive car weekend. When having puncture fixed a couple of weeks ago, the garage advised the two front tyres also needed replacing. Then on Friday, I notice the back section of the exhaust was looking a little dodgy and this now also needs replacing  The car budget will be seriously depleted, but thank heavens we had it in place. Mum's birthday tomorrow which I am really looking forward to. We have booked sunday lunch out which will be such a treat followed by cake and fizz back at our house. (Cue major housework session this morning, followed by major teaching preparation session this afternoon to get ahead a little - I love my "days off" :rotfl:) A spendy weekend, but funds are in the "entertainment pot" and I am sharing the cost with my big sis :T And would never begrudge a penny spent on my lovely mum. Happy weekend everyone. Hope you are having better weather where you live - it is pouring down here
