Ooh, new job sounds exciting! If you're not completely put off by the job I'd definitely apply - if nothing else it'd give you more info about the position and whether it sounds like a good fit. If you don't like the sound of it, no harm, but no sense turning it down for lack of applying.

Thanks HiddenShadow. Well I completed the application, then dithered quite a lot and decided not to apply, then went into work where my colleagues [STRIKE]made me[/STRIKE] encouraged me to press "send" :rotfl: Will play the waiting game now and see what happens.

  • Just claimed £113 from TCB and added to OP pot :T Nice start to a Friday. Have cleared out and washed the fridge this morning. Some very scary things in there lol. Now have casserole cooking using up the dubious looking vegetables lurking at the bottom of the drawer. Smells good so fingers crossed :rotfl: Meal plan and shopping list ready to go. Need to reign in a little on the food after a spendy time over the summer with the DSs home and eating everything in sight. (But will miss them loads when they have gone back to Uni :( ) Off to Norwich tomorrow to see DS2 who is already back in his uni house. A little shopping trip which may be a little spendiferous as DS3 needs some bits and pieces for Uni  Will try and keep in control of the situation, which will probably include a meal for 5 at some point too !! Decluttered 3 small drawers in sideboard which somehow morphed into a whole bin bag of rubbish. How is that even possible - the pile of rubbish was far bigger than the drawers it had come out of :rotfl: However, I tamed the pile and order is restored !

Shopping trip not too painful. Result on the lunch as we arrived a little later than planned and the boys were all happy with MdDs. Not exactly fine dining but quick and allowed more time shopping  DS3 found quite a few bits in H*M and I had 3 x £5 off vouchers that you get from taking in a bag of unwanted clothing. So win win - decluttering and bargainacious new clothes. Lovely roast dinner on Sunday and now all ready for back to school for DS4 tomorrow. Took meter readings tonight - not sure why I randomly decided to do it on 5th of the month :rotfl: I have only been tracking this for the past 3 months and think I may have developed a new addiction :rotfl: Have just started a switch to Sainsbobs who came out the cheapest for us via the MSE Energy Club :T Hope it all goes through smoothly, have been very happy with EON for the past few years and will miss my Te*co points although expect will get Nectar points now. Right, off to sort out work bag, and have an early ish night ready for tomorrow. Good luck to everyone with youngsters starting back or starting new schools tomorrow.

Morning chumpy45 and sorry to lose you. Thought I'd stop by and let you know what happens with your E.ON Reward Points once you've changed supplier.

We'll update your points balance with all the points earned up until you leave and round these up to the nearest 100. These will be shown on your final bill. You'll then be able to exchange your points for either Tesco Clubcard points or High Street Shopping Vouchers until all the Reward Points have gone or expired (2 years after issue).

Once the account has switched, your new supplier will let us have the meter readings they'll use to open their account. We'll use the same readings to close our account and issue your final bill. This stops the same energy from being charged twice. Your Reward points will be on this bill.

    Hope this helps chumpy45.

No worries chumpy45. Glad to help.

I'm afraid the only tariffs we've currently available are those listed on our website. Don't know of any future offers but we're only told at the same time as they're released.

  • Finally had long overdue meeting with accountant. DH took me along as apparently he can never understand what she says :rotfl: It seems he may be right as we are unable to take another dividend until the start of the new tax year. This is a disappointment as we were hoping to practically clear the remaining mortgage balance. However, we are mortgage neutral which is great to know even if we can't access the money at the moment. Will continue to make OPs and keep reducing the balance until May 2017 at which time we should hopefully, everything crossed in every conceivable way, be able to clear the mortgage :T Exciting times :j
