NSD today :j and managed to find half a tin of paint in the garage which is the colour we need to touch up the dodgy painting done by the builder in the lounge! Should be just enough to cover the one wall. Haven't actually done the painting but at least it won't cost anything when I do :rotfl: Once I have summoned the energy I will be able to cross it off the list which will be a great feeling and will hopefully spur me on to do the rest of the items. Now, if I could just get started ........

So I used my "spend £60 and receive £18 off" voucher from Sainsbobs. Stocked up on lots of long life bargainous products like laundry detergent and tins. Struggled to make the £60 so included 4 gifts for Christmas which were half price. On arriving at Click & Collect 2 of the gifts were out of stock so had been refunded. Meaning, I only spent £56 to achieve £18 discount and a £4 voucher for my next shop. Also, received Nectar points and paid with my Tesco Visa card for Clubcard points :rotfl: Win win all round :T Small things and all that but happy days :j Note to self, perhaps I should try and get out a little more :rotfl:

Letter from C&G this morning to start the day advising mortgage rate was decreasing to 2.25%:j DH made some scrummy butternut squash soup with a little chilli kick to it which was lovely. (Although he did buy the vegetables at Wai*ros* rather then lovely Mr Al*i - so he was in a little bit of trouble from me) Probably more suited to a cold wintry day that summer sunshine but still very tasty. We have set ourselves a budget to accomplish all the items on our "to do" list. Purchased 5 bargainous down lights for the bathroom together with a new shower, all on offer at Scre*Fix yesterday. Don't like spending any more, but it's slightly less painful when the goods are on offer. Still awaiting update from accountant to discover whether we can use some dividends to pay off a lump of mortgage. This has been a very long wait, hopefully hear some thing soon. Have a lovely sunny evening everyone

Congrats on the mortgage rate reduction. FD sent us a text and a letter saying they'd be in touch with further updates which seems a bit odd as we're on a fix so the base rate change doesn't affect us at all.

Thanks Monkeychops :rotfl: I swear I do not have a green button that says "thank you"! My green button only shows those people who have already said thank you but doesn't let me say thank you. I should be allowed out on this forum on my own. :o:o

A busy and not too spendy weekend. Did buy two extra tickets to see a second performance of DS4s theatre performance, but that was money very well spent. Was a very proud mum Busy week ahead with the dreaded A Level results on Thursday! This will decide whether DS3 is off to university. He has worked so hard so I really hope he gets the result he is hoping for. Supporting three DSs at Uni is going to be a little bit :eek: though. Still busy with jobs in the house. Seem to have the list in place but missing a little bit of mojo :rotfl: I hope I find it lurking sometime soon or I will be back to work without crossing anything off. Have a good Monday.

We realised at the weekend that should all 3 go to uni on 3yr courses we'll have 9 consecutive years of it!!! A very good reason to have mortgage gone!
