Yes, could be worth up to £200 per person. I may swing a bat at it, and Lloyds could be a good dividend income share once more after all the PPI stuff has died down.

I have actually held LLOY once since the crisis, buying in the mid 30s and selling at twice that, and wife+daughter hold a load of LLPC preference shares.

You've lost your marbles. Nobody has heard of HPC - it's occupied by people at the extreme of a niche argument. The Google crawlers probably snigger when they cache it the same as I do when I read some of the stuff.

You might think the subject matter worth discussing but don't kid yourself HPC is a beacon of light in the darkness. It's a backwater - about the 3600th most popular site in the UK which is about 3600 places behind MSE, Rightmove et al

I'm bemused by people who support political parties like football teams but websites?

I said it was a good discussion forum and it had hundreds of regular views, not that the UK sheeple were aware of the debate going on there. When forums like MSE are full of crash talk then the HPC will be mainstream. It always amuses me that a tiny group of people banned from taking their nonsense onto even the main MSE forum continually ask why they are banned from HPC....:rotfl:

Care to guess at when that will be? I'm not after a specific date, just a "by 2018" or similar, you know, a testable hypothesis.

No, the crash has been happening in slow motion since 2008, there has been extraordinary central bank intervention to keep things ticking along, but we are in a position now where it is much more than houses that will crash in value. Sales volumes for the whole UK tell the story of where we are at the moment regarding property "value" IMO. The "tell us when then!" arguments don`t really negate what is actually happening in the global economy do they?

Only if you redefine the word "crash".

My house has gone up over 60% since then. I must have missed something? :)

Nope, that is just you making excuses for what is an insular forum that accepts no alternate views. And you know this. Unless you can answer me, why did I get banned (username: MarkWeston) over there, then you're the troll, not anyone else.

I came to this forum actually because my ban took me by surprise so I googled "banned housepricecrash" and found a post on the other MSE housing forum.

Here at MSE, contrary views are welcome if they are tightly argued and referenced, and even more so if they avoid insulting others.
