Friday 25th September - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending!

So be proud of those small steps, they really important!

  • Morning all
Legomum - sorry you're up and about so early. Hope you feel better after you've seen the teacher today.
I was up at half five this morning, coughing again. My nose is finally starting to clear though so maybe I'll feel a bit more like eating today. It's a training day at work - so no kids in, which I'm relieved about. I hope that it's not too busy though - I feel really worn out. Hoping for a lie in over the weekend at some point, and not to have to bring any work home with me.
Small list for today (famous last words)
 check banking (bring on payday)
 get 2 sets of books marked
 return the shoes that are too small and pick up the next ones I have ordered.
 for the love of God I really need to post these letters
 get ds to football practise tonight
 double check my desk at work for missing fiver
 get my free lunch at work today
    nsd
 15 mins housework and declutter
 stay hydrated and drugged up on paracetamol
 do not stay at work later than 4pm
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all :)
Thanks for the very early start Legomum. Hope your issue gets sorted out ok. I didn't sleep much either, took me ages to get off (coughing, asthma ) and then I woke up early :(

    List for today:
Make an appointment for a flu jab Done
    Tax car online :(Done
Walk to sales unit today with cakes etc for Macmillan coffee morning :) Take a couple of small new items down with me. Done
Housework :(Hoovered and washed floors downstairs and done a bit of dusting. Still plenty more to do though!
Meals from all the stuff that is in the fridge (tomato sauce / soup base, a game burger, 2 pork belly slices, 2 pies that OH insisted on buying at the market (that I won't eat, don't know what is in them, not worth the calories!), raspberries, stewed rhubarb, apple, pear and rhubarb crumble, figs etc besides all the usual fridge stuff  Must finish some of this off over the weekend or freeze it! Done. Jacket spud and salad for me, with pie for OH
Puppy to vets for his last injection and microchip this afternoon. Must ask for some more flea treatment while I am there All done, including flea treatment. Poor little thing didn't like the microchip though - huge needle, and he only weighs 1.6kg :(
Any surveys that are available - one done for Yougov already, plus I have been screened out after several minutes from an Ipsos I-Say one. Thinking of dumping them, as I have been screened out of every single one so far :( (only joined a few weeks ago, guess they aren't interested in older females who don't watch telly or buy much consumer carp :rotfl: I find that a bit strange, as my demographic often do have money that they could I will check onepoll again in a minute, but no more so farspend.....).
    FPL Done
Found 2p on the pavement on the way to the vets :T Thought of you, Bob :rotfl:

Right, better get on with some of it!
Hope everyone has a good day :)
  • I forgot to add a goal to my list,
Im taking down old clothes & books to get weighed so I get some cash for it.
not expecting a lot but it doesn't sell on ebay/gumtree and it takes up room so
it'll be a bonus whatever the amount is
