    Nope its just those in handbagage that have to be a certain size and in a clear bag everything else in your hold bagae is fine.

    As for the 1 bag policy it has been like that for a while although it did get a bit slacker until the Glasgow incident and since then all the airports I've flown from (Aberdeen, Exeter, Glasgow) have insisted on it.
