If I have 3 apples in my left hand and 4 toy cars in my right hand, what is my opinion of the film I saw 3 months ago last Tuesday?

(Clue: This is as easy to answer as the original question, as you have roughly the same amount of pertinent information)
    Thanks in advance,

  • I'd say overdraft - that may end up costing you £££s if you don't get it under control before the 0% is withdrawn.

    Why? Grandma might be loaded.

I owe a few people money - my brother nearly £900, my grandma around £300, and I've reached my (0% interest) £1,000 overdraft limit. I've run into a bit of cash recently - £500 in fact - who should I pay back first?
100% straight to grandma, no second thought about it!

Well hang on there. How old is the Granny? Any chance she'll pop her clogs soon, then you can dodge the debt entirely. Maybe even get some inheritance from her, unless she's wasted all her savings on slippers and cats.

If it's only "nearly £900" to your brother, why not ask for a bit more to round it up to that £900 or, given it's close enough, make it the round £1000. As for the overdraft limit, surely this site is smothered in credit-card switching. Find another card. Find three. 0% interest with increased limit. And cashback. That's always good.

In fact, if you adopt this approach, you could buy a new car on tick, pop round to Granny and honk your hooter. That might hasten her demise (you aren't in for funeral costs, are you? Check out the will, and make sure there's enough for a basic funeral; Council is not always cheapest...). If that doesn't work, maybe run into a bit more cash. I hear the National Lottery is a surefire winner... you can get 250 tickets with what you've got, so then you can pay all your debts off, and have enough for a yacht!

    Seriously:

The real OP. We do not have anything like the information we'd need to answer. Gran might be rich as Osbourne, and just want you to keep it. Bro might be a banker, and like rubbing your nose in it.... Or Gran is cold, and bro ... broke! We will likely never know... I do hope you'll repost (or have already;)) so you can get some real advice, and feed back on what's said!

The MSE OP. How can we possibly answer this? All you succeed in doing by reposting such a bland and poorly-detailed question is come between any chance the real OP ever had of getting real advice.

    {I guess a hitman for Granny is too expensive? Two-for-one deal, and take out brother at the same time? Cheaper joint funeral? }
  • I would personally pay the full amount owed back to your gran and then the rest towards your overdraft. I would also be looking into transferring my debt somehow with 0% cards or even taking out a lon to cover this. I would also try and set up a payment plan with your brother. But tbh as we know very little about your circumstances it is hard to say
  • Well done for not ignoring your debts and acting in a responsible manner.Who to pay first?I would say find out who needs it the most and your only going to be able to do this by talking to them.Gran and brother could be loaded, whereas others who you may owe 10 or 20 pounds could be desperate.I would pay off the most needy first, then pay whats left to others. Some could rightly say,who did you borrow from first, pay them. Most importantly use the money to pay off the debts and don't ignore them like most people out there seem to be doing.

    Simple solution for sensible posters

Ignore and let the troll post on them.
  • Don't pay anyone back just keep it.

What a strange dilemma! Is it even real??

You need to pay £50 into your 0% interest overdraft account and cut up the card.
Then tuck £50 away somewhere safe for Christmas.
And finally, pop round to Grandma's for a cuppa and to ask her advice on the remaining £400. Grandmas with £300 to lend know a thing or two about managing money.
