  • Is this DD requirement a relatively recent addition? I have had 4 of these accounts and no DDs for over a year now. Interest is paid every month.

The DDs relate to the switching offer. Nothing to do with the interest.

I opened an account with them mid August via the link on here. I have now been told I will not get the cashback as it wasn't actually opened until the 3rd of Sept. I think they just held it back for nye on 2 weeks.
Not a problem I will just close it back down, and go else where

Don't waste it - switch it to somewhere with a switching incentive;)

    Hi

I also haven't received my incentive. pretty sure it was 2 Direct Debits but I didn't have any documents from the time so Google'ed
    and found this

    http://www.tsb.co.uk/legal/special-offer-mse-msm-terms-and-conditions.pdf

However, it now says 3 Direct Debits...should I call TSB and try my luck?

Prior to the current offer (requiring 2 DDs) there were two other offers, the first being 2 DDs and the second being 3 DDs.

So it depends on which offer you applied for. If you don't know, perhaps you could provide the application date and someone will no doubt be able to help.

And next time you apply for something be sure to keep a copy of the T&Cs. ;)

It's still worth keeping for the 5% interesting, 5% contactlessless cashback...

and 5% savings if you have savings above 2K

i found them to be very slow, that their CS is generally poor.. the blaming MSE idea is common, and is nonsense from them. but just stick at it, raise a complaint if you have to, and you will be paid out [as long as you have adhered to the T&Cs].

I called and was told the reason I didn't get the £100 incentive was because I'm not supposed to be allowed 2 Classic Plus accounts. I already opened a Classic Plus account I opened from April. This switched in one was from June/July.

Hope they don't close one / take away the 5% from one of them...

Guy said he didn't why I why I was able to open two as supposedly only allowed one. I think I read around here that you could have two max.
