TSB Incentive not paid - blaming MSE

I opened a TSB Classic Plus account in August via the MSE link which promised a £100 incentive. I followed all the instructions, i.e. direct debits, minimum payments etc. I contacted them today to ask where my payment was and they blamed MSE for non payment. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

I had the same, they said I 'wasn't on their spreadsheet', even though I know I clicked through from the correct MSE link and told them this.

They said nothing they can do, but did give me £50 as a 'goodwill gesture'.

My husband had the same and I wrote TSB a complaint letter on his behalf, and the £100 was credited within 2 days of them receiving the letter.

I spoke to customer relations who were adamant it wasn't their problem and referred me to MSE. I opened the account off my old laptop and didn't take any screenshots or printed any docs. I just presumed it would work.

I've just raised a complaint via resolver, lets see what happens. Thanks for the advice.

    Hi all,

I have the same problem with TSB and the £100 reward. I have talked to them today and they say that everything is good except that the 2 DD come from the same company. I replied that according to the eligibility, that is not a condition:

"Credit at least £500 to your new TSB account within 30 days of the switch completing and register a minimum of 2 active Direct Debits"

They refuse to pay the £100 because of this reason. Any advice please?
    Thank you!

Same here. Print off the offer and take it to your branch and they should sort it out.

Does the DD show as one mandate in your online banking or two? If it shows as one then they could perhaps be arguing that only one DD was 'registered', but if it shows as two then I can't see they'd have a case....

Thank you, eskbanker. They show as 2 DDs with different reference numbers. Moreover, the DDs took money from the account on different dates.
