This thread reads like someone lying in the road after an accident, calling for help, then clobbering anyone that comes near.
Who knows the answer? In fact its not even a question being asked.
Wait for the ambulance to arrive driven by Jensen Button, with nurse Jessica:)
I had no problem fulfilling all Santanders 123 account demands as they are few and easily implemented. If Santander themselves have screwed up then I guess it is them that OP needs to contact? If OP has screwed up then needs to read the simple T&C again :cool:0 -
Perhaps you should try reading posts properly before berating people who are trying to help you.
In post#4, Archi Bald never said anything about "third party" - simply, "Were at least £500 paid in during the statement month, from an account not in the name of either of the account holders? ".
You invented the "third party" so I pointed you to the Santander documentation which explains it perfectly clearly.
Funding the Santander account from an account held elsewhere in either of your names would satisfy Santander's demands and the account would accrue interest.
As a previous poster has mentioned, perhaps it's not the 1-2-3 account that you've opened.0 -
I'm a little confused as to why the OP is getting stick on this as their question seems very clear to me. They didn't invent 'third party'. Archi Bald, as far as I can make out, stated that the funds have to come from an account not in the name of either account holder. That would be the third party. I suspect that what AB meant was from any Santander account not in either name but that's not what was written.

The problem here is that the OP is drip feeding information. The best supplier of an answer will be Santander as only they have all of the relevant information.0 -
Therefore it is pretty easy to see at a glance why no interest is accruing on an account that was opened on 10 August when that account contains a specific term that states that it need to have paid out of the account two direct debit during the monthly anniversary of it being opened!
There is no such term in the 123 T&Cs.The problem here is that the OP is drip feeding information.0 -
I hate/love this thread!
Two DDs set up but don't have to be paid out, just set up.
£500 monthly funding requirement from an external source either in the account holders name or a 'third party', but IF the funding is from another Santander account it only counts IF it is from a 'third party'.
The fact that the £2 fee has not been taken when due might indicate some other problem. Then again maybe all the dates, facts and figures are wrong. Who knows!0 -
