food poisoning can come on almost instantly, and violently without warning! It is a natural defence mechanism to rid your body of toxins.0

Yes I would expect food poisoning to result primarily in vomiting with the other end affected at a later time. Dodgy bowels can be caused by many things, many of which don't include any bad food but perhaps a bug you've caught, an intolerance to something, bacteria from something you've touched, eating something very spicy or acidic, or drinking too much. Those are just a few things off the top of my head that would cause the occasional issue.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0

My experience of food poisoning has been vomiting and the body trying to get rid of the germ from the other end as well, memories of sitting on the loo vomiting into a bag and being very ill at the other end at the same time. Each time Ive suffered, Ive felt well one minute and very ill the next.0

As above, I've had confirmed food poisoning that came on 3 or 4 hours after eating the contaminated food.
Projectile, violent vomiting followed later by the other end at the same time
I was then quite unwell for the next 3 or 4 daysChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
But no matter when the food poisoning came on, the OPs dispute sits with the restaurant not the hotel. If the restaurant was inside the hotel and they own the restaurant then they are liable but in this case they are separate businesses in separate buildings and the food poisoning issues sits with the restaurant and they are not entitled to a refund of hotel costs.0

Which Premier Inn was it ? I dont think this is going anywhere since there is no clear evidence to attribute the illness to the restaurant. As an aside, i have stayed in quite a few PIs and used the restaurants and i have always been very happy with my stay and now actively prefer PIs.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

I love the Premier Inn - use it a lot when I go down to Devon to stop off. Always spotless and nice clean beds.0

I love them too. They're the best hotels in the cosmos.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
