Loyal Co-op members... Beware!!

This thread reminded me of a minor but annoying incident when shopping at the co-op a few months ago.
I presented my loyalty card after the transaction had gone through and to cut a long story short was informed there was no way the points could now be awarded.
That was it - not "bring your receipt in next time" which most other supermarkets seem to offer. The assistant's only comment was I'd need to remember to present the card pre-transaction in the future.
It wasn't for a massive purchase, so just forgot about it, but it always wrankled!
It's very sad the Co-op are alientating their traditional customers base as in the OP's story. I certainly don't think they're very attrative to new customers so do wonder what the future holds.
I stopped reading at the bold bit.
You make a mistake, and go away 'wrankled'0 -
You can't have stopped reading at the bold bit as the word "wrankled" comes later!marliepanda wrote: »I stopped reading at the bold bit.
