There's nothing wrong with playing the game if you do it legally! I think Lisa's remark was intended as "why even consider fraud when you have the savings you need for your purpose".

Regarding your OH, she will find it difficult to get a "good" card without earnings. She may be able to successfully appeal a rejection with sufficient evidence of good financial management/savings. Otherwise maybe you should apply for the card and get her added as a second card holder.

A lot of us use credit cards to spend money we have but like to spend CC companies money instead. Is the posh word tarting?
I don't think there is anything wrong Lisa in people wanting to play the game.

OH is in same boat. Had the GE Money credit card 3% on shopping and they are about to close that card for everybody in November.
    She's now not earning.
So she/we are wondering what her chances of getting a CC are now not being an earner anymore? No more games?

    I know about tarting!

Just this person seems to want to lie & commit fraud!

What's the business you're setting up?
    Hope it pays.
    I agree, don't lie.
Anyway, they normally ask for employment details.

You sure a debit card is also a visa? I'm with natwest and I only have a switch/maestro logo on it?

Many debit cards are Visa cards, but perhaps not all. Why not check with your bank and if not, ask them for one?
  • There are 2 types of debit card in the uk, one is visa debit (formerly visa delta) and maestro, many banks ditched maestro (formerly switch) due to problems/delays moving to the chip and pin system.

hmm why did I suddenly wonder if this service is a rip-off service?

Me too. Sounds more like a scam than a real business opportunity. Be careful OP.

Call Natwest and ask them to replace your Maestro debit card with a Visa debit card.
