Oooh I've never done one of these before, but I love it on here. I am learning SO-O-O much! Thanks everybody :A
1) Clean line dried sheets on my bed. (I'm about to go and make use of them in a minute.)
2) Making home-made pizza with the kids and their friends and the friends telling their dad all about it when he picked them up.
3) Having a good old girly gossip / put the world to rights chat with a good friend I haven't seen for a while over coffee and "Chuck everything in" fridge cake.
4) Not setting the alarm and waking up naturally then fetching a cuppa and coming back to bed with a book for a while.
5) Cooking a potluck risotto with the left-overs and user-uppers in the bottom of the fridge and seeing a slightly sceptical hubby enjoy it.
It's been a good day. :j

My 5 O/S magic moments from today are...
1) Shopping around town for a Christmas shoebox present for the poor children living in Romania.
2) Using my bubble free bath water to flush the toilet all day before rinsing out the remainder and scrubbing the bath clean with bicarb and vinegar.
3) Going shopping and not buying one item of junk food.
4) Putting the dog bedding on the washing line and beating it to get rid of the majority of the hairs rather than bunging it straight in the washer and cursing at the mass of mutt fuzz left behind.
5) Having "just" a cup of coffee in town rather than the usual coffee and flapjack.0 -
My 5 best bits from today are:
1) Turning the blackberries which were collected during a fun walk into a pudding.
2) Hanging washing out to dry.
3) With nothing planned for lunch, opening the cupboards to find tuna, pasta, and sweetcorn to make a "yummy" meal.
4) Finding a bargain for DS2s school tracksuit for shool that both him and me liked!
5) but the best was being called Mrs Impossible by my youngest - I thought it was a complaint about something but he said
"No one can make it like you"
It doesn't get better than that!!

I love this post and will think of 5 things a day even if I don;t always post - sometimes I think we forget to step back and think of the things we are doing and hey, even give ourselves a pat on the back.
So 5 things today:
1) Taking cuttings off a very overgrown flowering bush in the garden and looking at lovely purple flowers in a vase in the kitchen.
2) Meeting up in the park with a likeminded friend today and entertaining all the children for the cost of an ice cream.
3) Adding some shredded chicken frozen from Sundays roast to last nights aubergine curry and eaking it out for another meal.
4) Counting up £23 of pennies to pay into the bank tomorrow.
5) Using a squirt of some not very nice smelling shower gel in my boys bath this evening and them being really happy with loads of bubbles and not even noticing the smell!!

Great thread, why haven't I noticed it before?
1) Counting my pumpkins growing in the garden, they are the size of small footballs now, we have about 15.
2) Harvesting some blueberries from my blueberry bush (They were as sour as hell, but I'll persevere)
3) Making a huge stir-fry for dinner that was enjoyed by all.
4) Buying a gorgeous dress in a charity shop, pale blue vintage 1940's style for £1.75 (They have a half-price sale). It goes fabulously with a pair of powder-blue vintage style suede sandals I purchased in 1996 for my eldest Daughter's Christening.
5) Buying a pair of knitting needles for 30p so I can continue with a knitting project, it's mohair scarf in cornflower blue. I have somehow lost one of the original needles, so I can finish it now.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
