info wanted on the new black bt home hub

ive signed up with bt for my broadband i wanted some info redarding the wifi ive got 2 mates who want to use my signal as they dont have landlines. would this slow my net connection if there are 3 people using it? many thanks any help much appreciated. i will be using the new black hub.

Hello,
Yes, they would be sharing your speed/bandwidth. That means that if one of your mates is downloading music or films for example, you'll see a noticeable difference in your service speed.
Also, do you share a place with your mates or do they live very close by? You need to consider that wireless only has a certain range to it? So if they live 100 metres away, you can probably forget it.
Some guy on the news today has been arrested for hi-jacking a wireless broadband connection,

But that's because he didn't have permission. If all works out for you, you'll need to secure your wireless connection, but grant permission to your 2 mates wireless receivers to gain access.
I suspect that your mates may also need to load your BT BB disc, but I'm not 100% certain of that?
