Samsung Galaxy S6 - Won't Hold Charge
Hi all,
I've just flicked through the first 5 pages and could not find anything related to my problem so here goes.
In May I got my new handset which was a Samsung Galaxy S6. It's with EE and it's been OK to an extent. However, I have found the blasted handset just will not hold any charge.
I set off with it fully charged from home and within an hour it's down to about 80% and that's without even me checking the handset or using any apps or anything like that.
I've deleted all the weird and wonderful apps it came loaded with. I very rarely use any apps anyway. I do sometimes play a Marvel game on it, but that's only when I am at home and can charge it soon after. The handset is mainly used for WhatsApp, the occasional call and to have email on the go.
I've had to resort to having it it on ultra power save whenever I am out and about but that's a pain in the backside because I can't get emails automatically that way and I have to take it out of ultra power save mode, check, and then put it back on ultra power save mode.
Is anyone else having any problems with their S6 and it charging / holding charge?
If I have only had it a few months, can I take it back and say it's faulty or is this handset supposed to be like this?
My previous Samsung handset which was a S3 was awesome for the first year and a half but I think the battery went a bit bonkers after that hence not holding charge for long. But for the first year and a half, I could charge it once and it would last a day or two even.
Can someone please advise.
Many thanks.

I believe that the battery is a sealed unit. This is why Samsung lost my custom and I am now an apple fanboi.0

The battery is a sealed unit just like in every iPhone then.Whitegloves wrote: »I believe that the battery is a sealed unit. This is why Samsung lost my custom and I am now an apple fanboi.
OP, take/send the phone back to who you got it from outlining your problem.0 -
The screen is the biggest hog of battery juice. I have set mine to turn off after 15 seconds automatically, made a big difference0

Thanks for your responses guys.
It will be going back to the EE store where it came from and I will take the contract paperwork with me also.
Many thanks.0
