Thanks, I don't expect to get my money back, I just don't want to have to give them anymore.
It looks as though I won't be blacklisted as a bad debtor, and it looks as though they probably won't take me to court.
I could just sit it out and hope they forget me?!0 -
Why not be pro-active, complain to Trading Standards, the BPA/IPC, Twitter, Facebook, local newspaper/radio station,You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Do as The Deep suggests - be proactive and vent the anger/frustration in a few pain inflicting letters. It works wonders, beleive me!0

They'll send you letters...then more letters. You should NEVER have paid them, please don't be taken for a mug twice. No-one comes knocking, they cannot involve bailiffs unless they'd won in court against you and then you refused to pay after judgment (you can see that just won't happen will it?!).
Also re the DVLA, you say they 'know' your new name abut I assume you mean you simply sent off your driving licence? Changing the name on your driving licence is NOT the same as changing the name of the keeper of a specific vehicle, so presumably your tax disc reminders used to arrive every year, still showing your maiden name? That's why - sounds like you haven't updated your name as keeper.
Brilliant post by Half_way! Love it!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
