I think they are about £2.20 a pair

The word "cheap" refers to their quality.

I had bought 3 pairs, took them all back.

    Marigolds. They're the best.

Over the years, I've tried loads of different washing up gloves and found that Marigolds last longer and have a better grip, so I only ever buy them now.
  • Tough gloves.
Made from natural rubber, these flock lined thick gloves are designed for all types of tough household cleaning tasks. Regular use will protect your hands and nails from water and chemicals contained in cleaning detergents.

Are you trying to argue that washing up is not a 'household cleaning task'?

Washing up and a household cleaning tasks might be different to me, A household cleaning task to me is scrubbing the oven, cleaning the floors etc. Guessing its different for everyone.

Although id never class washing up as a "tough household cleaning task"
  • I'm a school cleaner and used these for just over 2 years, only recently have they broken. They've survived 3 deep summer cleans. So much better than the disposable ones work provide us with.

So maybe it's Wigs skin that makes them dissolve!

I use the Everyday Value pack of 2 pairs of yellow ones. No complaints!
  • I always use the Sainsburys Tough Gloves in Black for washing up and cleaning, never had any problems with them, and they last ages. They are around £2.50 a pack but I don't mind paying that as I find the thinner gloves only last me a couple of weeks.
