in Credit cards
I have never had a credit card before ,my main use would be to pay for things on the internet flights, etc mainly for security reasons. I would not use any overdraught facillity and if possible just set up a direct debit from my bank anyone working along same lines advise any card to sign up for

You dont give much detail about your situation but if your credit records are a bit bare (i.e. no or not much history of credit) then firstly try your bank then try cards for 'beginners' like Barclaycards Initial.0

When you use a credit card you borrow from it. Then, at the end of the month your card company uses the Direct Debit you've set-up to claim either the minimum or full amount (full amount being your choice). So credit cards do not operate an overdraft facility; think of it as a loan for a month.
So, here's some credit cards:
Barclaycard Student
Capital One Classic Visa Card
If you cannot get the above cards:
Aquacard
P.S. Don't be put off my the high APR, as paying off in full each month will save you from it."Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."

Sorry, for some reason I assumed you were a student. Anyway, CLAPTON is correct, look into the card he suggested as well."Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."

Self-employment has no advantages when it comes to getting credit. If I was you, I'd read through the link suggested and see which card you'd prefer. Then, once you're credit rating improves, you can apply for better cards."Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."

I have been accepted for the Capital One Classic Visa card, so can see no reason whey you wouldn't be accepted. I am currently posting the progress of my own application, which may help you estimates how long it will take! Click here.
