thanks so much all! very good advice as always that's why this site remains so useful. i may buy it tomorrow as £179 at john lewis with 2 yr guarantee and i have a john lewis voucher coming to me for research day at BT so will cost me very little, will report if so!! also the ict kids employed at my local store are so helpful will feel able to take it back for further advice!0

I'm using this very machine, took a bit of getting used to but for internet/email it's perfect. Wife keeps breaking laptops so I figured a cheap laptop where everything is saved online was the way to go.
Best thing is the speed though, unbelievably fast boot up and the battery goes for days and charges fast.
Kinda makes me want a Google Pixel 2, but that's crazy money.0 -
Can you not use a wifi printer - I can email stuff to my hp account from anywhere and it will print it as long as it's turned on0
