Seems all the rage these days!

Quidco are doing their own collective energy deals. You can register until 11 October when they will run the auction. Prices will be sent out 2 weeks after that.


They are using Energylinx and you will get £40 cashback for a dual fuel switch or £20 for a single fuel.

The Quidco collective switch cut off was extended to 18th October, and they are supposed to announce the results within 2 weeks, has anyone else heard anything about the result?

I emailed them about it and was told I'd receive an email yesterday about it. I didn't.

Don't know what's going on.

I registered interest, hopefully they will not get naughty and switch me by default. The wording seems to be they will do an "auction" on 19th October.

Maybe the suppliers just said sod off.

Already very happy with 2.6p for gas. What can they possibly come up with? 9p for electricity?

Perhaps they are waiting for the Uswitch collective to end in a couple of days as maybe they cannot compete with it possibly?

So do we wait for the Quidco Energy scheme or take the uSwitch one?

Take the uSwitch one, there's nothing to stop us then switching to the Quidco one if it's better (assuming the winner is eOn, which it almost certainly will be).

Email just arrived and it has been won by First Utility, and for me that means prices higher than my current Uswitch E.on deal so I won't be moving.

Likewise, £50 higher than the uSwitch offer for me, which factors in the £40 cashback I think. Disappointing.
