Even if you knew all along you wouldn't be attending the meeting it would have been very wise to phone your union rep and let them know. If there is any comeback they will already be aware and advise or take steps for you. I think its odd having meetings at these hours and it does sound like he is a awkward person trying to show authority. The university I work for holds meetings during normal work hours, I don't work weekends so I wouldn't go to one 6pm on a sunday either but I would inform the rep in due course just to play safe.Britain is great but Manchester is greater0
