We're averaging just under £4/mo cashback for this year (since opening average £3.37/mo). That doesn't include the fee so with that our cashback is pretty small. Like others have said, focus has been on getting our monthly bills as low as possible, not maxing out cashback. (And I wish Giffgaff would do DD.)

    We get:

£5-£8 per month from the current account cashback.
£3-£5 per month from the credit card cashback.
    plus £45-46 interest.

So I'm putting up with the price hike.

Do you have 2 123 accounts? Do you get some/all interest tax free?

Currently the max interest you can make a month from £20K as a BR tax payer is between £39 and £41.

My wife doesn't pay tax, so as a joint account the interest is effectively taxed at 10%.

    C. Tax - I pay cash. I don't trust council as I have arrears and I don't want them taking any more than I give them.

Gas, Elec - The OH pays for them out of her account.

    Water - Haven't had a bill yet.

    No Mortgage

No phone bills - I'm with TalkTalk landline, broadband and mobile prepaid the year upfront on debit card with a £0 a month contract for low usage.

    No Sky.

So I get £0 every year in cash back.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
