Good morning everyone, I am just doing a quick post, as currently in uni. Thanks for the new thread.
So far today I have had a quick shower, sent ds1 to school with packed lunch and gone to uni armed with lunch.
My plan for tonight
Do 2 loads of washing
Sort out present for dh, as his birthday is next week
Check benefit entitlement
Catch up with thread from yesterday *done*
Check FPL *done*
Check luckyphone *done*
Get rid of 50 emails *done*
Read Martins email
Update cv, ready to apply for the type of work that I want
Look into clicksnap ( I am sure that I downloaded this but never actually used it)
Look into checkoutsmart (I have not used this for a while)
All meals from stores *done*
Swagbucks *done*
Look for part time work *done*
Check onepoll *done*
Check cl*xsense
Do daily on JPJ whilst avoiding the temptation to spend *done*
Look into topping up ds1’s lunch card
Persuade dh to sort out his work stuff (he has been off the past 3 months due to illness and he need to let his boss know what’s happening but he is acting like an ostrich) *done*
Look into setting up bounts, I tried to set the account up a few months back but couldn’t understand it.
Set up a blog
I think that is enough to be working on tonight, as I won't get home till about 6.0 -

Ally - Hope you had a good day. Is there any news on when you are back to work? I thought you'd had an offer recently.
Bob: I just this minute heard I'm starting tomorrow in quite complicated circumstances.:T
So now I'm plunged into temporary chaos as I totally need to re-plan and re-organise my life to take this into account and be ready in time.
I'll post properly later when the chaos has been tamed.

Ollie Thanks for starting us off. Well done on setting up your payments.
DNMS Thank you for thinking of me and ds, he seems fine today greeted me this morning with a big grin and a hugand only put up a token complaint when I mentioned lessons. it looks like you have a emotionally difficult day a head, please do your best to look after yourself.
Jo I love how you set out your list it always makes me smile and think about what I need to put under each title.
We have employed someone to paint our windowframes and external doors, I know this doesn't seem very MSE but our justifycation(sp)
1) neither of us is particularly good at painting window frames and it would take us a long time, we have 85 panes of glass (or it may be more) and 4 external doors.
2) it is costing less than 3 days of OH pay including paint, which seems like a bargin to me, we know he is good as he has painted them in the past and he has also worked for many people we know.
3) Our wooden window frames need painting to mean they last for many years to come.
This has been going on for a few weeks due to the inclement weather. He has turned up today :j but it does mean we need to have all our windows open on one side of the house which is where all our principal rooms are so we can't get away from the lower temperature and as it is clear and cool outside meaning it is cool in the house, our kitchen is currently 16.1. The heating will not be going on, as it is to early in the year and it would just end up out the window any way. Unfortunatly we have planned to stay at home today mainly doing things that involve sitting down, think its going tobe thermals and hot drinks
Our next door neighbour has just given me 2 kg tomatoes from his greenhouse :A
Today:
Open curtains fully to make the most of the natural light
Close curtains before it gets dark
Run DW overnight
Run WM overnight
Soak porridge overnight
B/L/D from stores
NSD
Stick to 26 day meal plan (I am pleased with how long in advance we meal planned for)
Wash hair and let it dry naturally
FPL
Cull 100
Wear thermals
Educate children for free
Entertain children & us for free
Make tomato sauce from free tomatoes from nextdoor neighbour
Operation toothpaste tube ongoing
Read Martins email, I know I'm very late
Dry washing outside

Hello everyone,
Thank you for starting Olliegami
Bob - Hope you and Mr Bob had a nice anniversary!!
Day off work yesterday and had family up from Essex so didn't have a chance to log on!! Had a good time and might have been a teeny bit naughty and had a cream cake and iced drink from Dobbies was so nice!!
Not feeling too good again! I've got probably THE worst toothache I've ever hadhad it for a couple of days but as it's not gone decided I better go and see the dentist (I'm petrified of going
so making my mum go with me!!)
Decided that all these sugar free drinks can't be doing my teeth (or bank balance) any good so I'm trying to stick to plain old water from now on
So here is what I've done/going to do today:
- Breakfast and dinner from stores
- Water at work (had to buy one)
- Go to hospital app.
- Book dentist app.
- Ebayer coming to pick up coffee table
- List of things to do before move
- List of things to do before holiday
- Pack some more bits for move
- Check FPL
- Ring current EA to double check they got our notice (not heard from them and house isn't on RightMove yet and I thought it would be)
- Ring new EA and make sure everything is going right
- Read Martin's email
- Purge on my emails
- Do at least 1 survey
- Do a load of washing and hang up instead of tumble dry
Thats all I can think of for now, still reading though yesterday/today's thread!!Read my diaryHere0 -
Afternoon DFW-ers,
Bob: Happy Wedding Anniversary.
This could be my last post for a while. To cut a really long story short I start work tomorrow doing a manual job for a week and then I have the option to either stay with that company but move up to Middle Management (responsible for 300+ folk, gulp) or change to another company and do a simple job instead. My brain is mush trying to decide! Think I'll have to write a pros and cons list and decide that way.
Nillionaire Month Four:
* Turned alarm clock off at the wall til tonight.
* Made a huge list of everyone I have to notify of our change of circumstances.
* Housing association plumber came to fix the dripping cold tap for free.
* Downloaded loads of things in the library. Forgot to look for books!
* OH spent some vouchers in Iceland.
Have a good afternoon all.

Afternoon all
Thanks for the start Olliegami
Late posting today, as OH and I went to another town to an antiques fair. Bought a few small bits but not counting that as it is a business cost (and only around £20 in any case)!
So far I have:
Got up early and washed the kitchen floor
Bought potatoes and dog chews cheaply from the market in the town we visited
Popped into sales unit to pick up a box of items that were in a cabinet that has just sold. I am moving to a better-positioned unit in the same shop at the end of the month, and was dreading having to bring the cabinet home and find space for it in the garage, as there will be no room for it in the new unit. Won't have to now
Done a couple of one poll surveys and a postal survey task
Cooked some beetroot from the garden
Roasted some of the tomato mountain. I will make them into soup
Picked 5 more cucumbers
Picked some raspberries and blueberries which I had with my breakfast porridge and yogurt
Ordered repeat prescription
Washing done and on line to dry
Still to do:
Make curry for supper
Bath pup
Get washing in and finish drying on the airer overnight - still blowing nicely at the moment though, and by some miracle it isn't raining :T
Make tomato soup for tomorrow's lunch
Hope everyone is having a good day0 -

Hi Everyone
Thanks for all the lovely anniversary wishes.
Ally - That is amazing news! What are the most important factors for you about a job? If you stay in the lower ranks, will you be happier but have less cash, would you find the MM role more of a challenge & need that to be happy? So much to weigh up Im sure. Really pleased that you have choices and wont have to go to the palace du job anymore
Ollie -Thank you for starting us off. Lovely to have you back with us again on the small things thread. Well done on setting up those direct debits, thats a great big step!
Determined - I think Ollie is talking about daily clicks, or other daily ways to make cash. If you refer a new user you sometimes make a referral fee, I might be wrong Ollie shout if I am.
One thing we do here, well a lot of us is load up reciepts for the pennies that brings you. Do you have that as an option for Aus? We use Shoptize, Quidco, Checkoutsmart as the main ones. You get cash back for items you've bought as well.
Determined - You sound like you have such lovely days with DGD, she really is so lucky to have so much love and attention focused on her. So many children dont get that. I hope picking up your Mums photos will be ok, and not too sad and awful.
CCL - I think I was chanelling you today, had one of your kind of days. Hope you can stay home tonight and not go to the open day.
LegoMum - Did you get a birthday card? I always buy the very generic ones from Mr S that are only 25p each. They are fine I think.
Ziggy - Thank you. Did you see my comment yesterday about renting out your space? Lots of takers for that in the right place. £££s to be made.
JoJo - What game was it your DD has eaten????
Jono - Your business sounds facinating. Like a personal trainer? Or more on the advice side?
I am on the nectar scheme generally, is there something further to that you mean?
Hope dentist wasnt too hideous.
Twiggy - Awww hope you find your time without OH useful and not too lonley. You have lots of training still to fit in dont you?
BSC - I hope you'll be stocking up on all the mini soaps/shower gels/shower caps whilst you are there. Oooo & the coffee/tea/biscuits from your room. If you dont use them, they wont restock!
MM - Glad you got into uni ok, you must be feeling better.
BB - Was glad to read son is now better on last nights thread. Vomiting bugs are so hideous. I think you are right to spend that cash on getting someone in to do it for you. Sometimes its about life vs time isnt it as well.
ChocolateLover - How is your brother now? Sorry to hear you've got that toothache. One of the worst places to have an ache as its always there.
Dawn - Glad you had a good productive day.
Well today has been one of the hardest days I've had in a very long time. Physically speaking. I literally did not stop the whole working day, then fitted banking/school run/cycle home into it as well. I think tonight Im going to go to bed really really early.
Managed to get some YS sausages this morning, & will make a very quick sausage chilli, or leave OH instructions on how to make it whilst I rest.
The difficult thing about it when it is like today is I dont get chance to eat, which I can manage normally but I know at the moment it is simply no good when cals in are less than cals out. It makes me feel really ratty and miserable. I really snapped at this young guy who was hassling me for the wi fi code 2 seconds after walking in, and ordering his coffee, plugging in his phone to charge. I think I said something along the lines of 'one pair of hands here' he looked blankly at me and wandered off. But seriously the amount of times people seem to think Im magic and can do everything at once!
I realise I am a contrary woman as what was I saying Monday/Tuesday when my takings were in the loo. And now what am I saying! But its all about how the trade comes. Yesterday was better as it was more chunks. You get chance to make the order, tidy up, do something else, like rest! Then something else. Today was literally all hot drinks, snacks, tidying up. Washing up. Baking because the counter ran low. And then desperately trying to clean down & get out on time because my lovely old lady customer was last of the day and I hate rushing her but I cant hoover when she is there! Im quite worried about her as she told me the same thing about 4 times during her visit. And I answered each time but she is getting worse definately. She is so lovely as well. Poor old girl (91)
Right, enough of my moaning. Sick of myself! Need to have a hot bath, some paracetamols & get on with it!
Night everyone

Sorry for the big quote, it won't let me delete part of itI do love your posts Bob, they're always so personal. My job is more product related than personal training although lots of PTs use the products or run the business themselves. I generally show people how to be successful and hopefully inspire them as a leader ( well that's the plan
)
As for Mr S they have a programme called mycoupons that you can register for. You then select 5 offers from a list that are available when you swipe your nectar card - no paper vouchers. You just need to go on when you've used them to select some more or the ones you've selected have expired. I only signed up 2 weeks ago, don't do all my shopping there and already have about 250 extra points.
Dentist was ok, managed the needle this time that was ok. However, stupidly did something to the inside of my cheek whilst my face was numb, which I think might hurt tomorrow
I hope you have a good sleep Bob0
